Q: I"m not familiar with Alan"s method of PDFs. Is there a difference between embedding an iframe with a super short height and Alan"s embed method where you can see the pdf SEO wise or is mainly for how it looks?
I saw one of his posts where I make it match the color of the website so its camouflage basically. Is there a reason for this over just hiding an iframe?
Are you making the height under 5px?
A: For some embeds ( via iframe ), I tend to have a short height ( that is to say a few pixels to a max of 20-30 or so depending on whether I want just a line-look or I want to show a title, but nothing more ). Width just depends on what seems to make sense.
Do I want a 900px line? Maybe...maybe not. I tend to stick around the 400 - 800 px range in width. For PDFs, I"m easing into @Alan"s method for displaying PDFs on the page.
I"ve just been looking for a way to embed a PDF to minimize/eliminate the look of the thick PDF viewer frame.
