Branding Problem

Published on: 04-Sep 08:41am

This developing your own brand is definitely NOT easy…… especially if you have a common surname like Smith.

Just google Alan Smith. Now think of the uphill battle I’d have to even get seen on social media.

So the only alternative I’ve got now ( believe me I’ve tried a huge amount of scenarios to get around this naming and branding problem ), is to change my surname.

I’ve found a decent one that is acceptable to my family, google and social media sites. It’s a work in progress but I’ve managed to get the .com domain name of my name, brand and when I search for my new self, hell, I’m on position one, page one of everything without even trying.

Now I’m slowly building up my branding and connecting it my new course websites.

It’s like being in witness protection and being reborn. Ha.

I’ll reveal all when I’m finished.

What’s amazing is that I’ve managed to sell out all my spaces for next years lifestyle course just from my existing clients. But I can’t rely on that so a new me is in the works.

Exciting stuff. Can you believe here in Queensland Australia you are allowed to legally change your name every year and it’s less than $200AU. Of course that does not include the cost of changing everything from your birth certificate to marriage certificate and every legal document and account in between.

Who would have thought.
