Q: Is there a way to change the URL around for s3 before the sites and sitemaps are made.
I have made loads of sites for s3 with URL structure https://s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/bucketname.html and they only index a few pages ave 5 pages which do rank.
But the same content indexes and ranks great using Azure.
I just made some sites on s3 and changed all the URLs around manually in the sitemaps to http://bucketname.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com and re-uploaded them, within minutes they are indexing great over 100 pages already each.
A: The URL structures are interchangeable. You can represent them either way, bucketname/s3.amazonaws.com/ or s3.region-name.amazonaws.com/bucketname
The region name is required in the second example UNLESS it is us-east-1 (Virginia) then it is optional.
