My Marketing Attempt (Content Value)

Published on: 13-May 03:00am

I’m rapidly learning NOT to trust the so called experts in internet marketing.

One of the things I’ve quickly learnt is that giving good content away on YouTube gets NO signups.

The truth is, giving stuff away is NOT the only way to add value, and DEFINITELY not the most effective way to build sales.

Why?

Because psychology tells us that we’re wired to place MORE VALUE on avoiding bad stuff than on getting good stuff.

Think about it this way...

If I offer you $1000 to run 5 miles, sure, you might try it,  especially if you’re already pretty fit, I’m guessing ...

But if I tell you that you’ll LOSE $1000 if you DON’T run 5 miles, you’re way more likely to pull on your sneakers and hit the road right away, am I right?!

It’s just the same with your content.

Helping your audience see how to avoid a problem is WAY more motivating – and offers way more value – than giving them something for free.

This is what I’m solely concentrating on now, and I’m seeing benefits.

I don’t know about any of you, but I started off on this internet marketing journey thinking I could do YouTube, Instagram and Facebook, maybe some Pinterest..

All I can say is what a complete and utter mess.

I’m fully capable of laser focusing on a task, I can and have completed 100 videos in 24 hours. Completely done.

But doing all that shyte on social media, and maintaining it, it’s actually impossible to do and have a life.

So it’s one platform only for me at present. That’s YouTube. What a breath of fresh air.

When my course is operational, well, then it’s a Facebook group as well. But that’s it.

I’ll leave all that time consuming social media stuff for others.

You all have a great day.

Cheers
