Tips From Alex Siddy - Testing, Running, and Reporting of Tools

Published on: 13-May 04:29pm

Hey guys, I just thought I would drop some testing I"ve been doing with indexing.

Bulkaddulr is still by far the best by a long shot. It consistently indexes all cloud sites within hours of submission. The issue is that for larger campaigns it can become expensive. A 2000 page site will cost you about $40. If the ROI is there, then this is a good investment but for testing purposes, this can become a bit much.

Google Calendars haven"t been as successful as I would have liked for getting big sites indexed. I"m still playing around with this so I will let you know further down the track how it goes.

Web20indexer: Been using this for the past few months. It was working okay before. But using it for cloud sites in the past month has resulted in a low index rate so I won"t be using it anymore.

EliteLinkIndexer: I just started to use this a few days ago after it was recommended on a forum. It"s still too early to know. But so far I can tell due to the rate of indexing, it"s definitely no BulkAddURL but I will continue to test it.

Also playing around with the Indexing service provided by the Semantic Mastery crew. The only issue I have with it so far is that it takes them 2 weeks to create the indexing campaign after you"ve sent them the links. This is very slow and I"m pretty impatient when it comes to things like this. So I have no results back from this service until the campaigns finally go live.

Other Tests: I"ve noticed that using the affiliate redirect that pages rank high initially but then after a few weeks the rankings aren't as strong. I don"t know why this is but I suspect because of the nature of these links which cause a high bounce rate that this could be the issue.

What are you guys seeing in regards to this? Would love to hear your insights...

I have switched some campaigns from redirects to overlays to see if this makes any difference. So I will be monitoring this.

I"m also seeing refreshing campaigns every few weeks to help with rankings. So in other words running the same project again every few weeks.
