Q: I am new to Word, is that an Export out, or save-as UI, and in English what would the arrow point to?

Basically, you don't want to let Word, Acrobat, etc. or any other document tool optimize your pages/images. Essentially, that process will compress any images you've loaded stripping out metadata.
